Mike Sanders – President
Mike is a seasoned professional in the technology industry having engaged in several business start-ups and served in various senior management positions over his career.

In 1998, Mike co-founded Tax Partners, LLC, a Sales and Use Tax compliance service bureau, and by the end of 2004, Tax Partners had grown to become the nation’s largest transaction tax compliance services company serving some of the most successful corporations, including AT&T, Cingular Wireless, Ford Motor Company, and Delta Airlines. Mike’s systems were the backbone of a company that processed remittances of over one billion dollars transmitted monthly to thousands of taxing jurisdictions and municipalities.

In 2005, Mike and his partners successfully completed the sale of Tax Partners to the Thomson Corporation (now ThomsonReuters) and he continued to serve in a senior management capacity to ensure a smooth business transition.  The company is still in operation as a business unit of ThomsonReuters Tax & Accounting.

As Managing Partner and President of Far Point Systems, Mike is focused on growth through partner relationships, strategic product releases, education and advancement of team members, and maximizing value to clients.

Mike received his B.B.A. in Business Information Systems from Mississippi State University.

Brent Reeves – Vice President

Brent is an experienced business professional and strategist who has served in numerous capacities and roles throughout his career.

Brent has been involved in small business development from real estate to private equity. Brent was very active in the builder and development field, having founded TerraGreen Development which developed commercial and residential projects throughout Atlanta for both local and national homebuilders; and Fidelis Signature Homes which is an award winning builder who focused on delivering handcrafted quality homes from the $400’s.

Brent is an investor in several private equity firms and currently serves as Managing Member and Principle Partner of High Pointe Capital, LLC.

Brent has served on multiple Builder and Developer councils, Smart Growth Council, BCWE and is a Dream Society Level sponsor of the Aflac Cancer Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Hospital.
Brent’s primary responsibility with Far Point is strategic planning, business operations, client relations and business development.

Fengjun “Frank” Yu – Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Frank is the lead technical architect and supervisor of software development and day to day project management at Far Point.  Frank has been the critical piece in Far Point’s ability to develop and release complex, highly specialized enterprise solutions.

After receiving his Masters Degree in Computer Science from Arizona State in 2002, Frank joined the Far Point team and has been involved in numerous, successful software development projects in several market segments.

Frank received his BSChE and MSChE from East China University of Science and Technology and his MSCS from Arizona State University.  His certifications include Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP on ASP.NET and SQL Server) and Brainbench Certification on ASP.NET, C# and RDBMS database.

Claire Meyrueis – Lead Software Engineer

Claire is an All-Star performer in all facets of our business.  Claire not only holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science, but she is also a graduate in Math and Physics. While she is fluent in French and English, she also speaks Spanish and some Russian.

Claire is an expert in designing and integrating systems in the financial services world from Smart Cards, EMV deployment, Payment processing Engines, electronic payments and support systems.  Claire plays an integral role in the development and support of products that serve some of the largest and most respected names in merchant services and payment processing.  These systems are deployed in complex environments for our enterprise clients.

Claire has recently completed a challenging EMV implementation to meet new Canadian compliance mandates.   Claire operates our Liaison office in France which allows us to provide 24/7 support for our clients.

Russell Padgett – Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, Russ has perhaps the greatest breadth of experience across all technologies that can be found in any firm.  He has been senior architect on projects for big named companies such as Calloway Golf, LPL, J.P. Morgan Chase, and PCS Healthcare.

Russ has over 12 years of experience in developing software solutions using Microsoft technologies, 10 year of database modeling experience with SQL Server and Oracle; seven years as Senior Developer on medium to large scale enterprise projects, four years architecting and developing solutions using .NET Framework Class Libraries (1.1 to 3.5), and Over two years using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

For PCS Healthcare Russ developed business components that performed statistical calculations on a data repository containing over 100 million pharmaceutical transactions and produced an array of sales and analytic reports to be sold to pharmaceutical companies.

Russ has expertise in many technologies including (partial list): C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005-2008, TFS, .Net 2.0-3.5, CodeSmith NetTiers / PlinqO, SSIS, ADO.NET, SQL 2005, Linq, Stored Procs, UDFs, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, Web Services, SOAP, and XSL, .NET 4.0, Microsoft WFF, WCF, and SQL Server 2008.

Don Jaksa –  Senior Software Engineer

Don is an Arizona native, with a military background who has been an invaluable member of the Far Point team for over 12 years.  As our Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Don has a mastery of POS devices and terminals, and the systems that run them.  Don has been our domain expert for the delivery of terminal systems for such names as BP, Chevron, Sunoco and many others.  Don has most recently been involved in the implementation and integration of EMV capable devices for in support of Canadian and offshore systems.

Cuimei Wang – Senior Software Engineer

Cuimei has a BE degree and a Masters Degree in Computer Science and was awarded a College Teaching certificate from the Higher Education Department of China.  With over 12 years of experience, she is one of Far Point’s premier Software Engineers. Cuimei has been instrumental in the development of many of our web-based online interfaces for payment processing, virtual terminal applications, high volume data administration services and network control software systems.  As well, Cuimei has been our lead engineer on systems that support the casino industry across the US, UK, and Manaus, and helps to support our data base design, data conversion, and data administration systems.

Steve Zinn – Software Engineer

Steve has extensive knowledge in Business Management systems from creation of eCommerce Solutions to implementation of key support technologies.  Steve has been involved in the creation and support of some of the most critical systems of Far Point including CDLIS and Global Payment Services’ proprietary product GT-ET which is deployed in Enterprise clients such as Kaiser Permanente Health Systems. Steve can gather business requirements from our clients and quickly determine the most efficient solution and lead the creation and development from TDD to launch and ensure that deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded.

Leo Li – Software Engineer

Leo is a CIS graduate with honors from Arizona State University, a well known school recognized for their technology departments.  While Leo is a specialist in Web design and integration including the latest technologies in User Interfaces, Flash, use of ASP.NET, and Visual Basic; he has also received higher education on software development cycles, relational database concepts, and network system structures. Leo provides excellent knowledge in hardware and software support in a fast-pace working environment and can complete many business projects from end-user web applications to domain maintenance tools.  Leo is just one of our many bilingual team members who is fluent in Chinese.

Jeremy Nechiporenko – Software Engineer

Jeremy is the newest member of the Far Point team. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of North Dakota. Jeremy has many years experience developing web and desktop applications using a variety of programming languages. Before joining the Far Point team, Jeremy managed a complex accounting and payroll software suite. Jeremy’s work ethic, dedication, and determination make him a valuable asset to the Far Point team.

E. Michael Hyatt – Lead Quality Assurance Analyst

Michael’s technical knowledge spans back to 1969-1983 when he served in the US Navy as a Computer Center/Radio Central Supervisor with Top Secret Clearance.  Since his days in the navy, Michael has continued to grow his knowledge base and has served in various QA Management roles including managing a 30 member software development and test team for Titan Corporation.

In addition to his various roles working with POS systems and eCommerce applications, Michael also served as Senior Software Quality Engineer for Pulte Homes and instrumental in the development of PHBS which was the first program in the construction industry that allowed builders to manage the entire construction process from their handheld mobile device and link to financial and scheduling systems within the network. Since joining Far Point, Michael has quickly asserted himself as a premier member of our team and has streamlined process and accountability and improved the quality of product delivery.

Kimberly Jordan – Office Manager

Kimberly oversees the day-to-day office management for Far Point.   A native of Georgia, Kimberly has a many years experience in office management and bookkeeping.  Her experience includes a position with Mitsubishi Consumer Electronics that oversaw an extensive SAP, Y2K implementation and later advanced to Operations Manager/Business Process Manager.  More recently, Kimberly spent several years managing the office and closing processes for a real estate developer/builder.

Liz Coulter – Executive Assistant

Liz is a recent graduate from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.  After moving to Atlanta for great career opportunities, Liz joined the staff at Far Point Systems as an Executive Assistant.  Liz helps the Management team with time management and bookkeeping, as well as maintaining sales and marketing collateral and media.
